Nirakar's love for his abstract depictions of nature and animals is very evident in all of his work, using them as the subject of most of his works, he gives his paintings his own twist with an element of cubism, that attributes to his inspirations, Braque and Picasso. Growing up surrounded by a family of artists, Nirakar has always aspired to be an artist himself . "My art journey started from when i was just a child at that time i focused on art rather than on my studies" Since grandfather was my biggest inspiration. Even though, I do not use a fixed colour palette for my work, I use different strokes for different parts of my paintings. I create smooth, vertical gradients in the geometric shapes for the background to help establish a base for the painting. The backgrounds are usually pastel type shades and seldom interfere with the subject that are usually more vibrant in nature. Playing with the light and dark shades of color creating highlights and shadows to depict the time of day or setting in general. For his fauna (usually the subject of his painting) i opt for textured brush to have them remain as the subtle focal points mixing a few saturated colors to create depth.

Om Swami is a Mumbai-based entirely self-taught contemporary Indian artist, who has become widely recognized for his vibrant and joyful paintings of divinities—Ganesha, Shiva, Buddha and Krishna with Radha—as well as his paintings of couples basking in moments of togetherness and bliss. Shyamal Mukherjee is an artist who has spent his entire life in Calcutta. He spent his college years in Santiniketan, first completing his BFA in 1987, and then his MFA in 1989 from the Rabindra Bharati University. In Mukherjee`s work, we see the Bengal School strong figurative tradition being carried ahead and interpreted in a very contemporary idiom. Mukherjee says he loves to travel alone to new places on buses and trains since, "Most of my inspiration comes from observing people." It`s not surprising that every figure in his body of works has a separate and interesting story to tell. Most of the people Mukherjee paints are performers of some type, putting on an act for everyone else - something all of us do everyday of our lives. Mukherjee`s figures are dressed in the bright, almost gaudy orange, red and green costumes that street performers wear, but their eyes are gazing and drawn, their faces almost cartoon like and their fingers podgy, making the irony and pathos that surrounds them extremely evident. The artist also likes to focus on the fact that each individual has a great deal in common with every other one. This is why he paints people in pairs or larger groups, highlighting that though they are physically separate and unlike each other, there is no real difference between their characters and behaviours. Mukherjee`s favourite medium is reverse oil or acrylic painting on transparent acrylic sheets.

Sudip loves to experiment with ideas, techniques and enjoys dispelling any preconceived notions of art. His paintings speak to an inner realm hidden deep inside all of us. His inspiration and subjects seem to have raw energy which he successfully tames and plays with while working on his canvas. Sudip expresses joyful celebrations of life through his art. With a BFA (Painting) from Rabindra-Bharati Universaty (Kolkata) Sudip is an expert in painting and sculpture. He has actively participated in various exhibitions, including Academy of Fine Arts (Kolkata) Annual & Group Exhibitions, Camlin Art Exhibition, Travancore Palace, All India Art & Craft Society Annual Exhibition, and more.

Suhas Das

Suhas Das has a keen eye on detail. He develops his images almost intuitively. His work is sublime. The ease with which he amalgamates nature and human forms makes his canvases almost ethereal. He carefully makes use of the imaginative space and practices art as cognitive therapy, healing, power and meditation. Within his creative realm a viewer can interface with key powers of life in such ways that have real consequence. With his series of imagery work, he seeks freedom for himself and for the viewers. A self-learned artist, Suhas is a postgraduate in Literature (Bengali) and is exceptionally good at Madhubani and other forms of art. He has participated in several exhibitions.

Sukanta Das

Sukanta Das was born in Kolkata, and graduated with Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the Rabindra Bharti University, Kolkata. His works are somewhat unique in terms of style & expertise. Juxtaposing the mundane with the exotic, Das’ work is usually figurative. His art speaks for its sensuousness, its precise portrayal of figures, and its simplicity. His pieces have a surreal quality about them, possibly due to the palette he employs. Sukanta draws with mixed media on canvas and is fluent in translating emotions on the canvas His acrylics on canvas are moments captured in time, and have a photo-realist quality. His women, though, are highly stylized, with large droopy eyes, long noses and sharp features. Das often places these women in idyllic garden settings giving his work the surreal and dream-like quality. Sukanta’s works reflect the working of a happy romantic mind. Das received a National Scholarship in 1996, and won an Honorable Mention from the Avantika Art Society, New Delhi, in 2003. The artist’s work has been a part of several solo shows group exhibitions.

Tapas Maiti

Tapas Maiti

Tapas Maiti's art is a feast of vision and color. Born in 1982 in Kolkata. Tapas completed his Bachelor of Visual Arts from Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 2006. He is a truly talented artist and winner of the prestigious IFACS Award. He has had several solo shows and participated in group exhibitions in U.K , U.S.A & Germany. Tapas loves to explore his art through various mediums. His works are filled with vibrance and backed with an energetic force. Despite the strong brush strokes, Tapas succeeds in keeping his work close to nature. The Vibrance in his creations maintains a certain lyrical balance. Keshav Malik, renowned Indian Poet, art scholar and critic has eloquently contextualised Maiti's work by saying "Maiti adds beauty to the collective spirit and his compositions please, making life richer. The world of Thota Laxminarayana is just such a place, a languid harmonious paradise, which he brilliantly captures in his artworks. The multitude colours of the rainbow, the happy birds on tree tops or just posing in the backdrop, or sitting atop a content buffalo wallowing in the waters, the simple folks going about their lives, people at ease, the canvas is rich, exuding a sense of happiness and a feeling of ‘all is well with the world’. There is an almost childlike perspective of the world, where everything is his own take on the real, further embellished with his imagination, all melded in primary colours. The artist’s eye sees beyond the mundane ordinariness of the scape, a paradise garden. His is the kind of work that uplifts the heart and brings a smile every time I see it.

He has participated in several solo and group art shows and all India levels Competitions and exhibitions like Camlin Art Foundation annual shows, Maharashtra State Art Shows, Art contest of national levels at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur etc. and also International levels at Dubai. And participation was very well appreciated by all. His work is in proud collection of many prominent art collectors and promotional institutions all the country.
